CLASS OVERVIEW:
Synopsis: With the cannabis extraction industry emerging from underground and illegal operations into full-scale and fully-permitted chemical processing facilities, proper application of the Codes and Standards continues to provide challenges for Municipalities and facility designers/owners.
This one-day training seminar will focus on the application of the California Building Code and California Fire Code in the rapidly growing and evolving Cannabis Extraction Industry. The topics will include Code Compliance and industrial safety Best Practices in facility design, construction, and operational procedures. The session will deeply cover the new CFC Chapter 38 requirements for extraction equipment reviews and reports, facility technical reports, and the challenges faced when developing local Municipal Ordinances. The specific hazards of hydrocarbon, flammable liquid, and carbon dioxide extraction will be discussed, with additional attention in the post-production hazards and mitigation.
